 The 19th Arab Cultural Festival, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea is to be co-hosted by the Korea-Arab Society(KAS) in three cities across Korea this year, Seoul, Gwangju, and Gyeongju. In celebration of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Lebanon, the festival will feature a special performance by the Hayakel Baalbeck Dance Troupe from Lebanon, along with traditional Korean music performances and other cultural programs. Hayakil Baalbeck made a lasting impression last December during Pope Leo XIV’s first overseas visit, captivating audiences with a passionate Dabke performance at the Presidential Palace Square in Lebanon and earning praise from the international press. For this Festival, Hayakel Baalbeck presents “Laylet Farah (A Night of Celebration),” a captivating and exhilarating performance that brings the passion, energy, and communal spirit of performance including Dabke to the stage. The festival offers a meaningful opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of Arab culture. We hope that it will further deepen understanding of Arab culture in Korea and strengthen friendship and cooperation between Korea and the Arab world.
